How it all began...

Dusty and I met just after his mission in 2003. We both had our seperate little plans for our lives and then it happened-we started living our own fairy tale. Our courtship seemed to be just that for me; it was something I had always dreamed about and it turned out to be even better than I had imagined. And then ten months later, it got even better as we became three. Rhiannon has been such a joy to us and each day she brings us even more laughter. It was only another two short years and our little buddy Cy came along. A few short years after that our baby Brittain became a part of our family. There never has been, and I am sure never will be, anything in life that brings me more joy than my children and my husband. I truly feel that I am living a fairy tale (well...most days!)

Soccer Saturday

Dusty and Rhiannon had their first soccer game yesterday and it was an absolute blast!! The weather was freezing cold, but the kids were tough and played anyway.
This is Coach Dusty reminding Rhiannon which goal to score in. Most of the game was spent reminding the children which direction to go.
Here is Rhiannon trying to figure the whole soccer thing out. I asked her after words if she had a good time and she said, "Soccer is way fun, but I don't really like running!" Needless to say, Dusty is planning on incorporating a little conditioning into the next practice! Ha, ha, ha.
(I've added several posts today so be sure to scroll all the way down to catch them all.)

Spring Break

Our Little Spring Break Getaway

We decided to get away on Wednesday at 10 am and we were gone by noon. It was totally last minute, but it was more than needed. We left from Poky and went to Sandy, Utah. We ate dinner at the Mayan Adventure. The kids loved it. We got to see a couple live diving shows and eat some really yummy food.
Me and the kids outside of The Mayan.
The kids absolutely loved swimming in the hotel. We could barely pry them out when it was time to leave.
We also got to go to an aquarium while we were there. It w as so much fun getting away with our little family. We are going to miss Dusty as he has to return to school tomorrow. Our spring break turned out to be a blast. (...aside from Dusty's trip to Urgent Care on Monday with a small spell of Bronchitis. He is feeling much better now though!)

Easter Saturday

Easter Bunny Day

Today is the day we did the Easter Bunny at our house. He came and visited us this morning. The kids were fortunate enough to get a small basket of goodies from him. We have decided to do the bunny thing on Saturday so Easter Sunday we can focus more on the spiritual side of the holiday. The kids had a great time and it will be especially great to have it all out of the way tomorrow.
We colored eggs last night. Watching Cy try to be delicate and use finesse was the most commical part of the whole experience. I think he pretty much cracked every single egg he attempted to color---good thing they were hard-boiled or we may have had a catastrophe on our hands. It's so fun having a little family and starting traditions!

We Just Can't Get Enough Pink

These are the pics of Rhiannon's new PINK soccer cleats, shin guards, and ball. Soccer starts in a few weeks for her and she can't wait. Grandma Kelli and Grandpa Dwight got her these adorable accessories. Dusty will be coaching her little league soccer team this spring and we are all looking forward to it!

I Love My Big Sis

This is a pose that really shows how Cy is constantly looking to Rhiannon for, well for everything. Can you see him trying to copy her every move?
Funny faces for the camera. (Rhiannon thought this would be a nice touch!)

Spring Fever

Look at those teeth.
Sun + Snow Hat...Doesn't make much sense huh?

It really wasn't that warm outside on Thursday but we had the sun shining and we couldn't pass up the opportunity reunite with the bikes outside. Cy was so upset when I made him come in. Spring can't arrive quickly enough for us.
